This week PMI announced the changes to the PMP Exam from the role delineation study. Consequently, we are starting to see many posts on the PMP changes and it is like we have discovered a solution for global warming. Keep in mind that many of these posts are from people and companies trying to SELL certification. If you are interested in pursuing the PMP, ignore the NOISE. All you need to know is that if you can take the exam before 16 December 2019, continue to study with the existing materials. The PMP certification is highly popular and in demand. Therefore, it is natural that so many professionals want to achieve the PMP certification, whether they have project management experience or not. The challenge is that there are hundreds of groups on social media site and many of them are questionable in what they post, share, or advocate. Do you need a project management methodology for managing projects? Or, do you believe that existing standards, guides, and certifications are enough?
Guides are useful, but do they offer a project management methodology?
The #PMP is in high demand but is it enough to manage projects successfully?
We think that #certification is good and has value but not enough on its own.
Does the PMP certification still have value?
The PMP certification is a good certification and it is valuable but it is NOT the best certification in project management. Does the PMP certification still have value? Also, it is not the best route for organizations that want to enhance the performance of their projects. This is a view we have shared often.

Every time there is a change in the PMBOK Guide, and for a year or more before, we start to see the hype, which is quite annoying.
One really can find it quite hard to filter through the numerous posts and it might be impossible to distinguish which is a legitimate post, an imitated post (copy-paste), or just bogus marketing.
Project Management certification is highly popular among individuals and organizations.
